I am selling an appliance on Ebay for my work, its a very heavy, bulky meat grinder and I have found a buyer but he is across the country. I am trying to figure out how to ship the grinder to him in at least a smi-cost effective way but I can't figure it out. Do Fedex or UPS ship big heavy things like that? I looked at both of the websites but it's confusing.

Thanks, posted a listing on there but I still don't really know what I'm doing.

Ideally shippers will bid for the right to ship your item. Someone is always making a trip across the country so they can throw your item on their truck and make extra money. You still approve terms. Should be cheaper than a big shipping company if you find a willing shipper.

Define Heavy the weight might eliminate quite a few .

is it so heavy it needs banded to a pallet.

Your Company does not have a preferred carrier ??

Once it is shipped is it up to the buyer to arrange delivery ??

It's a small store, and we don't sell anything online, it's just a piece of equipment we are getting rid of. I believe it weighs about 150 pounds, and I was thinking of having it dropped at his business. We have a forklift and I think the buyer does too.
