Anyone have experience with installing tweeters?

    If you are using the factory wiring then your tweeters have to be connected to pass the signal to the lower drivers, I believe. Mine were run that way as was my wife's 4runner. I have long since rewired mine and the 4runner last year with components, amps, ect. Since you are using coaxials, the upper tweeters aren't needed but still have to be plugged in.

    If you test the four wires going in to the tweet, you could splice into the two bringing the signal and run leads to the lower door. However I think that would be a pia just to bypass the upper. If everything is stock leave it alone and swap the lowers. You will definitely hear a difference.
