Thanks for the offer, but that's a good hike from me. My cousin lives SW of Albany and has a shop with what I'll need. I'm headed there for Thanksgiving, but I'm impatient and don't really want to wait 4 wks from now to get this thing on the road.

 

I did see a video on You tube of how to do it without a press. Looks pretty sketch but it works.

 

Who wants to meet up and do some off roading??? I'm in the Catskills. Trans NJ trail? Pine Barrens? Catskills?

 

Where in the Catskills? My in-laws have a place in Athens and I'm up there quite a bit. There are a few places just over the Mass border or down in PA

 

Town of Olive in Ulster County. I have a few trails around here but looking to try new areas and have more than one truck...

 

I would like to. I tried getting a deal on Bilstein's, but the rears are all on back order. That and I plan on doing Wool wax this weekend. Hopefully I can get a lift over Black Friday then put on my skid and 285s. I should be down then. I really am excited for some snow to do a few mountain night runs. Oh, shit still need a deal on DD fogs.

 

I just looked it up, how have I never heard of the Trans NJ trail before? Looks like a good time for sure, and definitely more accessible than going out west for some decent trails.

 

Anybody getting snow yet? Super late but it's finally showing up here in the Southern ADKs. Had a little yesterday but of course it melted before I got this picture. More on the way this week though.

Got snow for a few hours down in southern Orange County but it's turned to rain. What a mess.

 

We've got 4"-5" on the eastern edge of the High Peaks, and it's still snowing pretty good right now.

Anybody got a fabricator in the Southern ADKs/North Country in general? Looking to get sliders but I don't have the funds for RCI ones, not to mention the $600 shipping cost.

On a related note, should I be getting skid plates or sliders first in terms of build progression?

Off and on, I didn't have much luck looking for skids so I didn't look for sliders very hard. Having more luck with them though now that you mention it.

100% skids (and not just because I make them) if you need sliders than you probably already scrapped your underside.

shamless promotion lol. I got a tube bender recently and hoping to have sliders coming out by spring.

 

Do you have a shop that we can visit or strictly online for now ?
