My Tacoma is a 4cyc. SR. I'm planning to install cruise and intermittent wipers after finding this site and great directions. Has anyone installed keyless entry to the current power locks?

I've asked the same question a while ago.. I have a sr and I wanted to install a keyless entry oem or another type but being able to use my key, of course buying a new key with buttons...

No one have done this before that I know... I hope this time we get an answer...

I talked to a dealer about installing a Viper keyless. It was like $225 installed .

I was going to do it, then I started reading about all the issues associated with them, and issues when they units get older, and after not finder a high quality aftermarket solution, and no dealer option, I passed.

I have installed a lot of them. The systems I use have separate keyless remotes and not a combo key.

Thanks everyone! I found out who my dealer uses for an installer and have them do it, around 200$ I'll buy oem parts for the cruise and wipers and do that myself.

Has anyone installed keyless entry yet? I am planning on installing in my 2016 SR but wasn't sure if I wanted to explore an aftermarket option or see if an OEM option exists. Anybody have any recommendations?
