I'm searching for new shocks right now too and am leaning toward the billys. Thanks for the direct info here. I've been searching the forums for a hot minute trying to get some basic info and where to start looking for the product.

I've been doing a lot of research, just like everything I buy. Between almost everyone using them, great posts/reviews, and everywhere being completely sold out/back ordered.. Id say it would be hard to buy anything but these!!

Running board, K&N air filter, Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 on ProComp 7089(285/70/17), 3" front lift and 1.5" AAl rear, all with bilstein 5100's with Eibach spring, 1/2 spacer in driver side and 1/4 spacer on the passenger, Wicked Flow exhaust, Debadge, satoshi raptor grille (HomerTaco)
Nitto'r Terra Grapplers are great with a daily drivers. If your not going to do lots of offroad then I suggest to get the passenger load range. They are smooth with no noise at all. Great with wet and snow and okay off road.

Nice lift.. I'd be semi-interested if it wasnt for the 886 coils. I wish to never own an aftermarket bumper haha

I actually found a dealer with a few in stock this morning. Had to order them from Canada, so the price wasn't the best, but oh well. Thanks though!

This is a link for 5100 Billies, 2WD & 4WD for 2001 Tacoma. I just ordered mine and they were in stock. Feel free to rape the shelves, guys! They have other options as well.

Sorry, I may be completely mis-informed...are some of you saying, you only replace the front shocks with blistins? (i know nothing about shocks). wouldnt you want to replace all 4? Also..what is the benifit of adding these shocks to the front? (I keep seeing them pop up in a bazillion threads, so im curious what I'm missing, and if i should look into saving up some cash to invest in them! thanks a ton!)

Possible. I made sure they checked out for my 2WD. Still not terribly knowledgable about suspension. Found a new lead so I thought it might help out.

Basically, the 5100s are height adjustable. Therefore if you just place them in the front you can use them to level your truck out. The rears are height adjustable as well, but it's only to allow for lift, so you would need to add a leaf for any lift in the back. I believe the front adjusts from 0, .85", 1.75" and 2". They also provide a much better ride than stock.

Ooooh. I have the TSB leaf done, and my back is higher than the front, but that doesnt bother me cuase when I have a load, it gets closer to being even, though I will be putting on an avid light bar, which will weigh down my front...I do suppose lifting the front a little might be nice. Does everything you need come with the shocks? or, is it like you have to get several things to do this...lol Im sorry for so many questions. Though, they are quite more appealing now...ill have to keep my eyes and ears open for more info and start to save my pennies!

Just ordered the front set! Excited to be able to level out my front after the TSB rear leaf.

Is this something I should take to be installed, or can I do it myself? I ordered new wheels and tires, and will have them do an allignment, so I'll make sure I get these put on imediately before I take it across the street to have my wheels and tires put on and the allignment!

normally i do all my own installs but from what i hear/read you need a spring compresser and they can be very dangerous. if not for that i'd be doing it myself

Oh...i *try* to do all my own installs, I dont have a spring compresser...and you used the word dangerous...so...I'm thinking perhaps I'll just take them in, and when they put on the wheels/tires, I'll have them put those on too...thanks for the input!

nothing, all stock expect got a OE replacement air filter K&N.
i just ordered my billies from DSM. I hope it goes through and get mines in. I ordered the OME struts from wheelersoffroad, but I'm having a 2nd thought that its way too much compare to the billies. So i went ahead and ordered my billies set and cancel my OME from wheelersoffroad.
