Despite my convincing argument, my friend has his mind set on buying a jeep...
I don't really know anything about them, i heard the engine in this model had oil consumption issues. Is the price right? Anyone know anything about this?
It has factory take off wheels and tires with 30 miles on them.

How many miles does that thing have? Price seems high for a 2007.

Just did KBB in this area for a 2007 and for the base model, good condition, private party value is $13,900 so it's priced around KBB (again, not knowing mileage).

Yeah it does seem high. It has 93k. Seems to me it won't be very long before it starts going to Shyte. Kbb said it was worth 13k. Which is kind of weird

I didn't put mileage into mine, that could be why yours is lower. I wouldn't touch it personally. Tell your friend good luck, keep your tow strap handy and stay within cell phone range. :D

Compare it's price to NADA. Dealers use it, and is usually lower then KBB. And as far as owning a Jeep, I never will... Or any other Chrysler product is concerned... :puke:

Hah I will probably have to tow him out sometime this summer when he thinks the jeep. can do ANYTHING. I find it funny that kbb values my truck with 220k on it at 9 grand. And the jeep with half the mileage at 13.. Toyotas ftw

I rented a 2011 JK for a week. If I had to drive one daily on highways I'd kill myself. The 3.8L V6 (from the minivan) is horribly underpowered, and the suspension bounces all over the place.

2007 is the first year for the JK. So on top of regular Jeep unreliability, there are additional issues with first year models.

I have rescued jeeps, worked on jeeps, and driven jeeps. There is a reason my family owns no jeeps and 5 tacomas.... One of my families really good friends have jeeps, the father and the son, for going on the rubicon they own 2 jeeps and 7 tacomas for a reason. Jeep is a offroad rig if you want a reliable daily driver you stick with a tacoma and you still get off road performance

If your gunna jeep espesically the jk get onethat's a manual trans the automatics sucks. I wouldn't get the 2007 its got little issues here an there. The 3.8s are good motors if you keep the maintenance on them they do burn little oil for some reason. If your gunna get a jeep I would highly recommend getting a manual trans

My buddy has a 2011 jeep manual trans. Only nice things about jeeps you can fit 35s with a 2.5 inch. Also people that get jeeps think they can do anything main reason why people get stuck and roll those things

If he wants a Jeep, tell him to get a TJ or LJ Rubicon. JK's are for pussies. Jeeps are tons of fun, real easy to work on, and with a few upgrades (2" OME Lift w/Steering Stabilizer, good tires, couple of skids) They are unstoppable offroad, and ride good on road.

A lot of people talk shit about Jeeps and have never owned one. The whole "it's a Jeep thing" is true, some people get it, some people don't.
