anyone know how to wire alarm light?

i got an led scanner i want to hook up to my stock alarm to indicate that its on. what wire to tap into?

i tap into the purple and white wire where the factory blinking light is in the center console but all it does is that it makes my scanner blink. i needed a consistent power when the alarm is active.
