Anyone open up their TRD hood scoop?

    I stuck a bunch of those vents from Autozone all over my truck. Engine's running at about 43* F at highway speeds.

    I don't know much clearance there is from the bottom of the hood to the radiator support, but someone with enough fiberglass skills can make a funnel that leads to the air box with the source of air coming from the scoop. I don't think our scoops will catch much air but it would be pretty cool.

    As for cutting the scoop open to cool the engine is funny. A better mod would be to reverse the scoop to let heat out lol.

    Here's a picture of a kevlar scoop that led to my stock air box that was really cool.

    I didn't think it would work. Definitely worked on my s2000 :D If the scoop was relatively functional I'm sure TRD would have already exploited it. :eek:

    Kind of like honda's when they used to put wings on top of wings? :rofl:

    What about pulling the AC hoses out of the firewall and just pumping Max AC into the engine bay ?
