    This is the key on the heat issue. The only "but" would be if your not going fast enough for the ambient air to cool the radiator, that cools the H20 which cools the engine.

    I always laugh when people say their engine ran cooler after switching to synthetic... really. Possibly crankcase temps but not engine temps.
