Getting back on the Taco bandwagon after my Fix Or Repair Daily experience. Trying to find a DC SB TRD Off Road with the Premium package in Inferno or Quicksand. Started working with a couple of dealers in Houston, but frankly, they're all idiots and they're just following the scripts.

Anyone have a recommendation for someone who I could work with?

I picked up my OR with tech/prem from fort bend Toyota a couple months ago. Worked with Larry Dunlap. Nice guy and they were willing to work on price. Its part of a bigger dealer network so they were easily able to bring the one I wanted in from another lot.

I guess I got lucky. It was pretty painless. They could get the truck I wanted and beat the price of others.

As far as service center goes, I probably won’t go there. Took my wife’s old Camry there for service years ago when there was the whole accelerator sticking issue. Long story short, they left a light hanging from the steering column behind the brake. It lodged sideways and my wife couldn’t brake and almost crashed. They gave me a free oil change...

I shopped all online. If the car is not on the lot, I’m not even bothering. You really have no negotiation power if they don’t have the car in their possession.

Ended up with Don McGill in Katy, just because they had one of three Inferno TRD OR's with the Premium + Tech in the entire state. Took some fighting and walking out several times, but I got the deal I wanted. I wouldn't recommend them. Too much typical dealer BS.

I did, and they didn't have the one I was looking for. Actually worked with a good guy, but they couldn't touch the deal I managed to get.

Hit the one in Katy. Was a pain in the ass, but I got what I wanted. Would not recommend unless you know what you want. I got my '09 at Joe Myers
