Less than 160,000. It's a 1995. It barely ever gets driven anymore.

I use the 6’ bed more than I haul people. In a more perfect world I would have a 4 door long bed and a longer garage.

i'm with Japoison I never gave it any thought when i bought my 2006 way back when... MY Taco is used mostly for my outdoor activities , hunting , fishing, yard work I too like the 6 foot bed , if i recall not many 4 doors were on the lot anyway that day I purchased.

I do get out of a lot of car pooling because no one wants to sit in the jump seats LOL

I’d never go back to a double cab after having an access cab. Whole families used to drive around in vw bugs which was their only car, so you can’t tell me you can’t make an access cab work in todays world where most families have two vehicles.

Is that factory, or a modified truck? Regular bed chassis with an access cab and short bed box? Must be good on the tight trails.

Sorta have the same truck, yours looks like a SR5? Yeah the tires are bit wienie looking. Have a set of 265/75 Yokohama ATs that I need to install, but getting decent fuel economy right now have been holding off. Little worried about getting punctures running dow FS roads here…so going to swap them out before the next trip.

I wish the 2 door short cab was still a thing.

    Access cab is too long.

Keep the Access Cab. IMO it's the best looking Taco they make. The Tacoma just doesn't look right to me with 4 doors but that's just my opinion.

I felt that way at first, but the 4 door grew on me.

I agree that the AC looks better, I just benefit too much from having the extra doors.

The AC is the only truck to get period. I have a wife and 2 kids. No problem at all on any adventure anywhere. I don't worry about taking any adults anywhere because I don't make friends with people who don't have their own truck :D

I read through the thread and may have missed it, but is your Access-Cab a Long Bed? If it is: you should never get rid of it for a double cab, (IMO) especially for a short bed. IMO the Access-Cab LB is the perfect Tacoma, especially if the kids have fled the nest. I think it's also the best looking one in the line-up. I have a double-cab short bed. In the time I have had it I have needed a long bed more than the double-cab. I finally bought it when I gave up trying to find a LB double-cab. Like chasing a phantom. When you do come across one, there is a huge premium to pay even when they have big miles on the clock.

Damn - did it sink or was there just a huge hole that appeared to be a puddle? Looks like your efforts got it dry, hope that's the case.

Agreed......If I have passengers and need cargo space or to tow our horse trailer or RV, I use our Tundra crew cab. If passengers only, we use our Highlander.
