Tire's are just about done for finally. 285's would be ideal but don't want to have to worry about trimming/cmc or anything like that. My understanding is that 275's are just slightly small than 285's but you don't need trimming. However, there are only a few manufactures of 275's. So, that being said, if you got them let's see 'em!

Not a picture of my 2nd Gen, but I had them on my previous 1st gen. I went from Toyos 285x70x17 to BFG 275x70x17. It was a noticeable difference to me, but It fit the truck much better. Truck had a 3 inch lift

Have you looked into the 255/80r17? They are actually a true 33in tall tire, but are narrow so you shouldnt have the rub issues like with 285/70R17

I am not, but when my 265/70r17s need to be replaced that's the route I'm going. I don't heavily offroad so I don't want to do the CMC on a 2 year old vehicle.

People like to hate on things they don't have. If they fit your needs/wants for a tire don't worry about others opinions. I've heard that the skinny tire isn't as good in sand or mud but I would be buying them for the beach. I figured as long as you air down like a normal person, I shouldn't have an issue with them.

Yeah the cmc is something i'd rather avoid. I don't do much offroad stuff but I do hit the dunes out in pismo from time to time. Nothing crazy but my 265/70r17's do just fine for the most part when they're aired down and they're a highway tire lol

No, just difference in looks. It did drive different. The tires were a lot lighter than the Toyo 285s I had. I had some minor rubbing in reverse with the 285s as well. That disappeared with the 275s

Yeah, to me it was. To everyone else I was told it looked the same. Also, its good to note BFGs tend to run a bit smaller in size.
