Anyone running Falken 285 Wildpeaks on 17 inch Method NV’s? Post pics if you can, how did they fit? How much if any cutting, modifying CMC was required? Thanks in advance.

Run enough caster and sure, it's possible to not do the CMC.

Like I said, you'll most likely need it but it's not always required. I also see you're in San Diego so there's people like @Speed Freek or @Pelfreybilt who can do the CMC for you so cleanly that you wouldn't even know it's been done. Just throwing that info out there so you're aware. If you don't want to do the CMC hopefully you won't need it

    By the way:
Of the 16 that voted, 5 didn't rub and 11 did, so you have a chance to fall into the "not rubbing" category.

Thx for info, makes me consider just going with 265 70 17. It’s all for looks anyway.

That’d be the safer call. A buddy of mine was opposed to trimming or CMC since he had a brand new 3rd gen, bought 265, and then 6 months later replaced them with 285. I for one will encourage go with the 285s and then cut and trim as needed! But it’s your truck, not mine, so end of the day it’s your call.

265 will fit easier and won’t impact your fuel economy as much, still look good, and still a little bigger than stock. And with 285 you may not need the CMC, but I always stress that it might be needed just in case.

I want the look of 285’s. Decisions decisions 265’s I feel look too small sometimes with a 2-2.5 inch lift.

Here is a CMC and pinch weld mod I did last week, I can make them look pretty clean. Been doing a ton of them to make 285s fit and typically they seem to do fine, some 285s are larger than others so take that in mind as well as the offset of the wheel...I have done over 300 of them to date!! I do a lot of them!

Thank you, I've had a lot of practice (over 300 so far!)
