I have a S/C and i like it but what I've herd is S/C are better for off road like Moab status, and Turbo more for ricing on the streets or dessert race/jump. both are a great upgrade then stock. just your flavor of choice. if everybody chose the same thing it wouldn't be unique and it will just look like every other Tacoma. :D

Go custom front mount. Less lag, and less chance of somethin hitting it, especially if you off road, plus if you get it good and hot then splash around in some water it has a high chance of seizing from cooling it off so fast. Front mount won't need a snorkel either.

Yea the water is what worries me. I seriously doubt you'd hit anything, i mean comon..yo dont see anyone having to replace their mufflers due to it being ripped open by a rock. The water is an issue tho..

A rear mount turbo is for a street car with no other place to put it. Just seems like they could get that turbo and all that plumbing under the hood and out of harms way.

I like my supercharger on my taco, played with Diesel turbos mostly but both can have their place.

Turbos usually get a bad name because you can get alot more boost out of them easier and put alot more stress on the engine, but most people dont do it properly and blow $hit up.

Just my 2 cents so take it for what its worth. Oh yea I also have a 7.3 powerstroke pushing about 35lbs of boost.

I used to have a 2000 model f350 single wheel, only thing was a bigger.turbo and arp studs finally blew it up at a truck pull on 40 pounds.

ahhhhhhh the whistle of a turbo brings a strange but welcoming tingle to my loins, the louder the whistle the better, love the sound of my turbo on my powerstroke!
