Anyone running OEM Kings with 2.75" Dakars?

Thinking about upgrading my rear suspension to King OEM shocks along with 2.75" Dakars.
I have searched and I am still unclear if this setup will work. Specifically will the OEM King shocks length work with the 2.75" of lift that the Dakars provide?

I had the same question and I was told you lose 1" of down travel.

 

I have king oems on a first gen and when I spoke with a king rep, he said do not exceed 2" lift. This is for a gen 1, so ymmv on gen 2. I have not done it yet, but I plan to get dakars and remove the third leaf

 

I'll be taking the third and maybe an overload spring out since I don't have much weight in the bed. I won't be doing the install till after the 1st so I'll post up the results after doing so.
