Anyone running the OME 'lift'?

I just got a quote for:

2887 Coils
1017 Struts

And

$324 EL096R LEAF SPRING HD

EL096R Leaf Springs

Of course bushings, u-bolts, etc. And, alignment.​

About $2600 installed out the door.

This is my daily driver and I don't have a garage to work on it so I need to hire someone else to do the work. I'm in Vancouver but this quote was from near Seattle. I'm down here a lot so that's not a problem.

I'm running a GFC and a a small drawer. So, maybe 500#'s constant weight.

I've always thought the suspension (even pre-GFC) was a bit soft. And now with the GFC those Forest Service Roads make me hit the bump stops.

2500 bucks seems like a reasonable price. I don't really want a 'lift' just need better handling on the dirt - especially given my extra weight.

I'm running 265/70/17's.

Thoughts?

 

Recommend to add extend brake lines (I put in +2”) and 2-3 degree shims in the rear. Hitting the bump stops? I also added Timbren bumpstops.

$2600 for knowing it is done right (if the shop is trustworthy) and having it done ASAP sounds like a fine deal.

I paid about $1250 for my 1st gen OME suspension with extras (extended brake lines, shims, etc) and installed it over two days without rushing, but I had a garage at the time.

This was after going through Death Valley and riding my bump stops the entire time.

 

Yep. I was thinking to add bump stops too.

Are brake lines and shims needed? I don't think there's going to be a noticeable lift...
