Hey interested in some feedback for this advanced key system.

    http://advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK104B.html

The only thing off the lot I wished the truck had was a push start button. I was wondering how well this system works if anyone has used it. I don't like the FOB too much but its a lot cheaper than going the toyota oem route.

Just gonna say it because someone said it to me when I installed the same system in my mustang. It isn't any more work to put your key in the ignition. Plus after you install it you will still reach for the keys for a while. IMHO and previous experience. Keep what you have and spend money on more useful mods. If you want a remote start just buy one and have it installed for less money plus get an alarm.

I have an alarm which I am not sure would work with this system. I ride bikes a lot and just generally have my keys in a backpack so having the convenience of not having to search for my keys all the time and just able to open the car/start the car is very convenient I think. Plus all the other mods I want to do are way more expensive haha.

Besides that how did you like it in your mustang?

This is the feature I miss the most coming from a Lexus IS350. I had the credit card key that stayed in my wallet. When I touched the handle, the door unlocked.

I like the idea here, but where would you even put the button at?

It did what it was supposed to do. Except a lot of time I had to press start more than once for it to turn the starter enough times. The system has a self programming mode that remembers your rev conditions. Well that's great if your weather is constantly the same. If it gets cold in the winter you have to manually reset and start the learning process all over again while the car is dead cold .
