Bought my first Toyota Tacoma and only drove it 2000 miles so far but I must say I already fell in love with this truck. I bought a 2020 TRD Sport 4x4 double cab. My first deal I want to try is take off the Firestone Destination LE2 tires 265/65/17 thinking about Mastercraft AXT2 tires in same size 265/65/17. The Firestone’s when I drove on a slightly muddy road had no traction. Anyone used the Mastercraft tires.

    Welcome to Tacoma World!
I’ve only run their mud tires. They were quite loud.

    Some Serious Tires

Welcome to TW! This taco will serve you well, great choice!

There are a lot of excellent tire choices. If you want better off road traction, falken wildpeaks seem to be TWs favourite. Good tire and good price. Also toyo at3, cooper discoverer at3, or bfg ko2s are all great choices as well.

    Good luck!

Give it a few hours on here OP and you’ll say screw the mastercraft tires and want to go fuel rims on 285 mudders lol. Hide your money and disappear off this site forever lol. All joking aside, welcome OP. Nice to have you here. :hattip:

My friend and I ran the Courser MXT's on our Taco's for quite some time. They got loud if we didn't rotate every oil change due to cupping.

Mastercraft tires are made by Cooper tire and are a great tire for the price. They are also made in the US if that is important to you. As for mud they will be good but not mud tire good.
