Does this count? We’re cutting carbs so it’s basically pizza with no crust (casserole maybe?). Either way it was delicious. Ingredients not shown are the ground beef and marinara sauce

You know it, below is what my wife sent me as a recipe. I took the liberty of modifying it a little but it’s a good basis

I'd like to make my own deep dish pizza. I've seen a few people on here make amazing looking deep dish pizza. First I need to find a decent crust recipe.

What do you mean by proper cheese and it being hard to come by?

That Detroit frozen pizza needed more cheese and sauce imho.

I’ve made this one several times. Has the “fried” deep dish golden crust taste. One of the easiest pizzas to make because the dough only has to rise two hours.

    https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2012/07/basic-square-pan-pizza-dough-recipe-sicilian-recipe.html

I do sliced mozzarella down first, then a thin layer of sauce, then top with Parmesan. Cooks in about 20 minutes.

This is very similar to how I make my deep dish dough. I agree on the layering of items. Cheese, goodies, sauce.
