Trying to install this and when I got it hooked up the dash lights no longer work. I also have several lights on the dash saying check the brakes, abs and others.

Has anyone else had these problems and know what could be the problem?

I unplugged the connections behind the radio and those dash warnings are no longer there and the dash lights now work again.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Possible something wired wrong. What did you do with the black wire coming off the 28 pin harness?

I attached the black wire from the 28 pin to the green wire on the rear camera as the instructions said.

While trouble shooting this problem it has something to do with the 28 pin because the light and dash messages all come on only when I have it plug up.

Still can't get it to work right. Rear camera would come on though but had all though messages that wouldn't go away and the dash lights wouldn't work. And the front camera would only come on if I had the rear camera on.

Only other thing might be the diodes in the wrong directions, possibly? Maybe

There are to small diodes that should have come with the kit. They need to be wired in line for Each switch to the red wire from 28 pin. The diodes need to have the dark band facing away from the switch when wiring in. Link below is similar to what they looked like. Mine where in with one of the switches attached to paper with tape.

Didn't get any of those. And what you're talking about with them is the switch function right and not the other problems I having right?

Yes switch function for sure. Put could help with the other issues. Not sure I am not an expert at wiring. The instructions should say the style diode if I remember. You can get them from Amazon.

In wiring diagram the blue triangles with a line over it are the diodes. The line represents the line on the diode.

Hope it works for you. I almost missed the diodes when I was doing mine thought they were extra lights for the switches when I was opening the kit up. Read the install instructions a few times and realized that I need those.

Cosd are you using two switches or just one? I think the diodes are only used if you have a single switch .
