Trdmod website doesn’t seem to exist anymore..Is there anyone who still makes a plug & play kit specifically for our trucks?

I don't have an OEM front camera, I already have the 2020 anytimebackupcamera harness and an aftermarket camera.

I have read several pages on this modification which has raised a few questions for me. If the camera that comes with the ABC kit is garbage, is there a better alternative than to buy a complete kit and then throw away the included camera? Can I buy just a harness and a switch, then use the Takita camera with it?

Also, my truck has the premium interior package so there’s no room to put another switch below the climate controls, does anyone know a good solution for this? I will not consider removing a factory supplied switch to install the one with the kit. There’s one blank switch knockout below the cubby pocket on the left side of the steering column but I’m not sure it’s the right size or orientation.

For the non 2020's there is a kit without the camera, there is even a kit without the switch just the harness. Only the 2020 version do you have to get everything right now.

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/collections/kits/products/anytime-backup-and-front-camera

Some people have wired them up to the pro knob buttons that MESO sells. You can really wire it up to any switch you want as long as you know how to wire it up. Think you can get some switches for the other side of the steering wheel, but not sure if the include switch fits there.

Is this the Natika camera? The one I’m using that came with the ABC kit isn’t horrible picture quality, but I can only see the ground a few feet in front of me..

Maybe you just need to adjust the camera so you can see further.

I mean it’s mounted on the TRD Pro grill where everyone else mounts it right above the TSS sensor. Don’t see how to aim it up any more.

What about shims... do you have any you can remove/install to get the camera to point further out? You can wedge one from the rear to angle it up.

    Question for y’all.
I have a kenwood headunit that states 3 camera inputs. 2 camera inputs and on av-in

I can cycle the two cameras (kenwood dash cam and factory reverse camera) whenever I want to.

front camera (one on the av-in) only works with the parking brake set.

any advice? Will one of the kits work since I’m using a kenwood and not factory head unit?

    @Logistics91

I'm waving the white flag on my installation for now.

The roadblock is getting the system to work with a switchpro 9100.

I've got the rear camera working, on a switch on the switchpro.

I can't get the front to work unless the rear camera is activated.

I'm probably missing something quite simple but I'm fried and it's dumping down rain.

If anyone has advice or a solution is appreciate it. Talk to me like I'm 5...

I can't get this figured out either. I can get one camera working but not both at the same time. i followed the directions and double checked all my wiring and still nothing.

if I wired it up exactly as described, when i press both front/rear buttons on the switch the rear camera displays on both buttons..

edit: got it sorted now, if your experiencing this then check your ground(s) from the relay/switch. mine came loose and was my issue.

I installed the anytime front/rear anytime camera on my 2020 Toyota Tacoma, I am using the auto dim rocker switch too. The install was pretty smooth however afterwards I noticed that my microphone was no longer working... I unplugged the camera harness and went back to the factory harness and it worked again.

Has anyone experienced this issue and could provide some help?!

Fellow TW members, I need some assistance in determining the blue and gray wire feed that use to be available on the ABC 30 pin harness but now it has been eliminated from the kit which is only a 24 pin harness. What pin-out would provide the same output which is the instrument lighting and dimmer control? This is the harness I have.
