Does anyone know if the has gotten the front camera to work on the 2020 units? Everything I have found says it does not work on the new 2020!

I can’t get my front camera to work, just a black screen. Do I need to connect 12V to the red wire that’s bundled with the front camera Yellow RCA? I thought that wasn’t used.

You either need to connect the red wire or power the camera directly.

I did power the camera directly. I used the add a circuit fuse tap and ran the power directly to that

Anyone have a picture of where the grey and Blue wires go on the switch plug? I de-pinned the connector thinking they weren’t used... only to find out that they are used. The instructions on the anytime camera website suck.

I think the grey and blue are the back light power for the switch.

Is there a plastic cover over the lense of the camera?
Do you have a way of testing the camera with an LCD TV to make sure the camera is working?

No cover over the camera. I don’t have anything with a yellow RCA input.

So if you connect the red and black wires coming from the camera harness to power, the red wire bundled with the yellow RCA is not used, correct?

Natika calls that red wire the “trigger wire”. I guess I just need to know where the trigger wire connects

Correct. Either you power the camera directly with 12v plug or utilize the ground in the video cable and the red wire embedded in the video cable.

The instructions should always say to bench test the camera 1st. That way you know you are starting with working hardware before spending all that time routing the cables just to find out the camera is not working.

Why does Natika call this red wire the “trigger wire” it doesn’t say in the Natika instructions to connect that red wire to power...

It seems all the cameras are coming with the option to use the red wire embedded in the video cable to power the camera. Calling it a "trigger" is just the term they use instead of "power" or "+" feed.

I don’t know, definitely doesn’t look like a power wire in the instructions... are you positive?

Ok now I just temporarily wired everything up again and now both switch positions show the back camera. Damn this is frustrating

It is either to feed power to the camera.
Yes, diagram is confusing. I happen to have a camera on my desk. It is not a Natika but I think they all work on the same principal to feed power to them.
I assume you are running an aftermarket HU then? Does the HU have a trigger wire for adding a front camera or are you powering directly so the camera remains on at all times?
