Anytime Front and Rear Camera Mod

*EDIT confirmed through basic-ass research (AKA going back in the thread) that other people bought from this site so it is legit. Whew

 

Turned out to be a loose ground for the switch.

 

Just finished the install and it went great! I did make the mistake of following some instructions from Taco Twonz on Youtube . I should of just followed the instructions provided and now have to undo some work, otherwise this is relatively straight forward and works like a charm!

Anyone figure out how to make the front cam zoom in a bit. Its misleading

 

Finally got around to installing this yesterday in my 2020 DCSB. Pretty effortless and functions exactly as advertised.

 

I also just installed mine this weekend. One question I do have is, I notice at night my switch isn’t illuminated? Is this normal? It would be nice if it was illuminated. Is there a way to make it illuminated? Thanks you guys.

 

Just attempted this install on my 2021 and failed. I got everything connected but can’t figure out how to power it correctly. The RCA jack with the stubby red wire is spliced into the green on the relay. The red and the black wires that come off the camera I’m not sure what to do with, it’s the premium camera. According to the diagram they aren’t used? Also the toggle switch to go from front to rear display lights up blue when I toggle to back the reverse display comes on but toggling to front is a black screen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to add a front anytime camera to my 2018 and power/switch it with the Auxbeam 8 switch. Possible?

 

These cameras can be powere 2x ways.
1. Use the red(+) and black(-) wires to power all the time. You can connect to an accessory circuit in the fuse box near the battery.
2. Use the stubby red(+) wire to connect to the accessory circuit in the fuse panel near the hood release latch.

Rear camera buy link is broken

 

All power to radio is out I’m not sure if I blew a Fuse some where or what’s going on, what a nightmare! Wired as the diagram indicated….

 

Is the stubby red wire connected to just 1 green wire?
If memory serves me correctly there should be 3 wires connected at that spot, the stubby red to 2 greens (1 from the relay and one from the toggle).
Hopefully someone can chime in and confirm if that is correct.

 

Yes it is connected that way thank you for your response. I did find the fuse I blew so at least I have some direction.

 

I got a new fuse and this is the current situation. If I toggle the switch to rear I get front view, toggle front I got front view, shift to reverse I get front view but between toggles I get a one second view of the rear, if I switch rca jacks then it’s all rear views ..any ideas?

 

did you find a solution for this? I would like to illuminate the switch as well
