Take a look at this one:
    https://kabowest.com/

The ECT harness I have has switch illumination taps for another switch built in.

If he (bob.hogan1@gmail.com) doesn’t have what you need on hand he’ll likely fabricate a harness for you. Excellent product and great to deal with.

My problem turned out to be a bad diode on the toggle switch. After a couple of short phone calls I was sent a new one and the problem is now resolved the camera working well!.

I bought the Anytime Backup Front/Rear kit with the Premium camera for my 2018 Offroad with Premium/Tech package. Does anyone know the best alternative is to replacing an existing switch? I noticed on YouTube folks just replace the BSM switch with the Front/Rear camera switch. However, I'd rather not go that route. Will I just need to extend the wires and use the left had side switch area with an aftermarket switch panel?

Also, I had absolutely no idea that these Anytime backup camera/front camera kits required 12v power. Im on the fence about having to run power from the battery/fuse panel.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
From what I've seen these cameras have a "+" power line built into the video cable. I believe it is a red 18 gauge wire protruding from the video cable so you can connect to a power source inside the cab.

Thanks, I may look into that route.

Still trying to figure out the switch placement, since on my truck all the switches in the center console are taken up. For whatever reason, the only spare switch on the Tacoma happens to also be a difference size from all the other switches. I can only scratch my head about this one.

I bought this kit before he had the front/rear in 1 switch, so I have 2 separate switches (operating each input). Has anyone upgraded just the switch? I'd like to free up a spot for a lightbar. Thanks

I also have a 2018 with Premium/Tech and didn’t want to remove any of the stock switches. I replaced the cubby on the left side of the steering wheel with a panel I 3D printed that holds three of the small switches. I’ve been really happy with this location

Any chance you'd be willing to print one out for me? (Or maybe share the file) I can't seem to find one online that's made for those sizes of switches. They are all the longer ones.

Also, did you just end up extending the switch wires from the head unit? Im assuming I need 2-3' of extra wire to go on the left side of steering wheel like you did.

Yeah, I haven’t done it yet but I can throw the file up on Thingiverse if you have access to a printer.

I’m pretty sure I had to extend the wires - the switch comes with a short pigtail, right? I think I just added the length of wires needed to reach the rest of the harness (it’s been a while so I don’t remember exactly)

So I got a kit off of another member when he traded his truck in. Looking over diagram online vs what I have. Camera doesn’t go to an RCA. There’s a female end for RCA on the relay side but the camera doesn’t.
    image.jpg

Relay side left, camera on right.
Ignore no bed sheets. I’m doing laundry lol.

I assume my option is to go get a male end of an RCa and wire it onto camera? Or do I need different camera?

Edit: looks like the kit is missing a section of wire that goes between camera and the relay. That piece has the RCA male end on it.
Correct me if I’m wrong though

Total Chaos mid-travel front. JD Fab SUA rear.
Trying to get this kit to work on a 2018 4Runner. Just a rear camera ‘relocate’ (no front camera).

Camera output has hot/ground, as well as RCA with red wire.

Kit has a relay with front/off/rear camera toggle.

I am trying to follow instructions per the website wiring diagram but have had no luck.

UPDATE: Tried to wire it up without relay. Now windows/AC doesn’t work unless car is in reverse. WTF

I am trying to wire this to my switch panel that is made of traditional toggle switch with indicator lights. It says on anytimebackupcamera.com that the button they include that does both Front/Rear is only SPDT however then in the wiring diagram it shows 6 leads making me think its DPDT? Would anyone be so kind to elude how I can wire a ON/OFF/ON toggle switch as Front/Off/Rear with an indicator light that can be connected to neg or pos bus.. Thanks
