My camera looks Black and White when sunny outside. The camera angle is pointed more out than down and the colors get washed out easily.

    Apologies to the ambiguity. Black/White

I'll play with the angle and see if that changes things.

Voltage before the cameras one button wire harness is 12V, supplied by in cab switch. The camera side 4 prong push connection is 3V.... Can anyone with this camera and a voltmeter tell me there voltage drop across the one button harness?

    Thanks TW

    Hey All,

I have the same set up (2018 TRD OF DCLB Premium) and the switch works great, but when I put it in reverse, the screen just goes blank. Any advice? Much appreciated!

Definitely sounds like two cables reversed. Many have questioned the quick flash, but I think it's in the opposite direction. Check the thread, I believe comments are here.

Where'd you get the switch face in your pic??

I really want to do this, a lot of times I have my bike in the back and the side mirrors are so small.

When you are in reverse and the switch is in the off position, you should be seeing the rear camera and (while in reverse) if you push the switch (activating the relay and shorting the red and black wire from the override harness) you should see the front camera. While the switch is pressed, it shouldn't matter what gear you are in, your display should be showing the front camera until the switch is turned off.

I would double check your wiring.

Look back through this thread, I think we pretty much have covered all wiring scenarios.

Just pulled the dash apart again to confirm what I did with wiring.

Red wire from relay is tied into red wire from harness as well as the red wire from the front camera and that goes into the red wire on my switch.

Black wire from harness goes into green on switch.

    Black from relay is grounded.

Confirmed that when I put it into reverse the relay gets triggered which switches view to front camera.

Sound like you have it wired correctly, what switch did you go with? How many wires come off of the back of the switch? Your switch should basically be shorting the black and red wires from the override harness.

It's a Ch4x4 single pole push button switch.

4 wires out of the switch, two are hooked up to the camera, one ground, and one 12v to power the illumination.

Not sure if it helps but I just checked and if I completely unplug the switch going into reverse still shows front camera

Rules out the switch... Sounds like the relay is getting power from somewhere else or it may be stuck on. With the switch out, check to see if the red wire has 12v on it. It shouldn't.

The only power coming into the system should be from the black wire from the harness. No other external power or fuse.

Got a hold of the site owner and he recommended a diode on the red wire coming from the relay.

I ordered one and I'll report back once I've installed it.

I do want to say how absolutely impressed I am with the level of customer support anytime backup cameras offers, truly incredible. If anyone is on the fence about this product I cannot urge you enough to pull the trigger!

Does anyone know if this camera can be installed with wire up? Do I need to cut any wire? I have a Pro grille and would like to hear from anyone.

Ther AOBswitch is OOS. Anyone know where to get the switch?

Yup! I was testing it out on my old tv to make sure that by cutting the green wire, it changes to normal view (front view).

Looks like a great product, but why did they have to use comic sans font for the toggle switch? Makes an otherwise well put together system look amateurish.
