So I switched out my camera that I originally installed for the Yumi camera because the image was reversed and then inverted after cutting the green wire. Unfortunately, the Yumi image is shaky and real poor resolution. Not sure how to correct this. Any suggestions???

So the image shakes when you drive? My image is stable and clear. Take a photo of the poor resolution.

So it's not shaking from movement. It's the same whether or not the trucks moving. All connections appear to be good. Will post a photo shortly.

Went out to the truck to get a pick of the screen and now no video is coming through when switched to the front camera. Argh!

Will do, thanks. I will let you know what I find out. I have to go to work for a few days so I'll get back at it on Sunday or early next week.

If your original camera is the same Chuanganzhou one I have, the manufacturer/seller told me to try grounding one end of the snipped green wire to turn the image right side up. They also said that it will require trial and error, because one end of the green wire flips the image when grounded, the other end results in no image at all if grounded. In my case, there wasn't much point in that fix, because the image flips randomly - sometimes it's right side up, sometimes it's inverted. Oh yeah, one other amusing tidbit. In spite of many posts in this thread stating that this camera is supposed to be mounted with wires horizontal, the seller states that it's supposed to be mounted with wires vertical. *shrug*

That’s why I bought it, then struggled to get the image right. So I changed the orientation but didn’t love the perspective. I’m glad I changed out my camera, it was a $13 mistake but that’s life.

Nav override allows you to type on the head unit while moving/driving.

I already use my composite video input on the radio for something else (Roku). Does the Anytime front camera also have to use the video input as the rear camera doesn't use it? I've got a 2016 Tacoma gen 3.

Yeah, all the keys will be grayed out and wont let you type anything in the navigation screen.

For the entire time? Or only with the camera is activated?

The nav over ride is a different function from the camera set up. Neither function affects the other, although they use the same wiring harness.

From the factory, the head unit does not let you type while the vehicle is in motion. This is a safety feature. The nav over ride tricks the head unit and makes it think the vehicle is stopped thus allowing you to type.

My wife uses the nav override to input Navigation changes on long trips. Simple $8 mod since I was already in there. You can also edit settings that are normally not allowed unless in park.

Hit switch on, make changes, hit switch off, navigation kicks back in 3-5 seconds.

This mod basically takes the current rear camera, splices that input and adds a relay to select between the two.
