Just checked it out. Glad that guy is listening to feedback, still charging a lot for the kit though.
The upgraded camera is what most people on this thread bought after buying the kit. You can get it on Amazon for $40, made by Nakita. Highly recommended, as the standard camera has a terrible quality and FOV

Wanting to do something very similar. Do you have a photo of the bracket mount you made so I can see how you Fabricated one and fastened it and bent it to get the desired angle? Also do you know the screw type that needed ordered from Toyota?

Old post, did you get the screw you needed for mounting it to the grill. P/N is 90167-A0021.

Got a 3D printed bracket for the box 210 degree nakita working, sent one to another member for testing made out of ASA. Working on one for a cheaper 170 degree camera I’m testing out from Amazon as well. Got both already working for the 2020 pro grill camera location as well.

I have it working on my bench. @empty_space and I designed an LED readout for each camera signal so the install was delayed until I implemented that as well. Hoping to get installed later in September when it is not so hot out during the day. This will involve pulling my front passenger seat to install the project box underneath it as well as running wires to the front and back of the truck. The 3rd and 4th cameras are mounted on the rear of my Billiebar and the rear of my pop-up camper respectively.

Finished up on a camera mount that I’ve been working on. I didn’t want to drill my pro grille so I made this mount to fit the camera inside the “O” of Toyota. I used the Raayoo camera from Amazon and did not use the flush or bracket mounting trim pieces. The view just shows the edges of the bumper on the bottom left/right sides

I used the ABC kit and didn’t have any open small switch spots so I also made a 3-switch panel to replace the cubby on the left side of the steering wheel. The small push button switch is for the nav override

Got a kit off another member that he ended up not wanting. kit is missing the wire that goes from the camera to the relay. It's got the male RCA end that would connect to relay.

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/products/car-camera-front-or-rear-facing
this wire is the one Im talking about. Is it possible the kit he got wasn't meant to have this in it? Don't understand why it wouldn't. He still had packaging sealed.

I installed this kit about 2 years ago and it's been the most useful mod I've done so far. The front camera now though will turn on for 1-5 seconds and then the picture start flickering on and off and then the screen goes black. If I turn the camera off and on again, it shows the picture for a second and then does the flicker bit again. The rear camera is not affected at all. I replaced the front camera and that did not fix the problem. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? Was thinking it might be a bad relay with the kit but not sure.

Test everything with a multimeter. Maybe a bad contact on the switch itself.

Mine does it too. I thought maybe bad connections and even got a new camera. Nope, just failed somewhere.

Could also be the relay coil is not getting enough energy to keep it closed so it keeps oscillating, which would explain the flickering. Like the post above me said, test parts of the circuit to identify where the current is faltering.

Had my kit for 3 yrs now and it went out recently. Took out the front camera harness from the headunit and rear camera still switch over. I pinpointed to the front harness. Only thing I can think of is the power 12v wire, relay, or camera. In my case, it wouldn't switch to the front camera, so I took a long wire and hook it up to the battery to the relay, and the relay clicked. I bought a new relay to test it out beforehand. The issue was my 12v wire. Ran a new wire and it was working again.

Make sure you hear the click in the relay. If not, it's the relay or power going to the relay.

Probably. I'll deal with with when I change my HU out. Looking at that TX10 or whatever its called. I like how it looks more OEM then that Stinger thing being pushed all over social media.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I finally fixed this problem. I purchased a new kit from Anytimebackupcamera.com and thinking it was the relay, switched that part out. Nope, not the problem. Ok, then maybe the switch. Nope. I was about to replace all the wiring harnesses and check all connections when I decided to run a new cable from the camera to the harness behind the radio. That fixed the problem.

Well, at least I now have a full backup of the wiring harness, relay, and switch.
