    POLL DECISION..

    OFFICAL TRAIL RUN IS Oct 13 - 15 (3 days, 2 nights)
    PRE-RUN IS Sept 30 - Oct 1 (2 days, 1 night)

Who: Any and all Toyota owners in the SoCal area.

What: Trail riding, very short hiking, and enjoying some local attractions.

When: See poll for dates but feel free to join up any day for a partial trip or day run (meet us at one of the camp spots).

Where: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (inclusive of Ocotillo Wells).

How: With our reliable Toyotas and communication radios.

Why: Because why not? It's always a good time putting faces to the names you've heard of.
    __________

I usually like to lead smaller runs of a maximum of 7 rigs because they're easier to manage but since this would be an opening run for the season I'd like to try something bigger. I'm not thinking of any cap yet but I would love to have volunteers that are also familiar with the area assist in leading. I'm thinking at least 1 leader for roughly every 7 rigs also. We'll most likely be doing primitive camping one night and developed camping another.

Furthermore, especially depending on how diverse and large the group is, we may have to break up the activities into 2 or 3 groups on Saturday; some might want to do short hikes or some might want to do more trail riding.

Some other ideas: poker run, giveaways, etc.

    Thread has been cross-posted on Tundras.com, TacomaWorld.com, and Toyota-4Runner.org.

If this one goes well, I'll probably do another one a few weeks later.

    @ItsRichieRich

ETA: oct dates work better for me because it would give me more time to regroup after the San G trip

Thanks for the heads up brutha!
I'll have to put it down as a maybe. I'm installing my 35's tomorrow, and I'd like to get my clearancing and gear install taken care of before doing any wheeling.

Thanks, I originally had plans for the 13-15th so I voted 29th-1st. Going to change my vote now but am still a maybe.

Would the October 13-15 work better? I'm not sure if it works for us just yet but can confirm a few weeks before then.

It's so far away, it's hard to say. But in general I'd say that the further away, the better. That leaves more time to get stuff taken care of on the 4Runner, and hopefully cooler temps.
