Until now, I've basically trusted that my front locker button on the Switch-Pros panel won't get accidentally or curiously hit while the truck is moving down the road. I typically have air pressure in the system so the compressor being on or off doesn't really matter. I think this is a bad plan

So I think I'm going to wire a relay inline on the front locker selenoid that only grounds out when the ADD is locked. Has anyone else messed with this?

Researching on the 2nd gen has provided a wiring starting point. I'll update as I go along on this

Yep, wouldn't be hard to do. It's Pin 2 on F13 of the 4x4 ECU that gets grounded when the ADD is locked. I'm not sure if I have any spare connectors but I could do a PNP harness if you wanted. You could also tap into it at J13 or J14 (junction connectors if you wanted to. They are located near the 4x4 ecu also and may be easier to get to but I haven't looked myself.

Awesome! Thank you for that info. Saves me so much time pinning out wires. I think I can just tap into that wire, but totally appreciate the offer for a PNP.

Just take your time. There isn't much slack on that connector. Not sure about J13 and J14, but I would guess it's the same and not much room to work down there with a soldering iron.

Also, that post you linked is the 2nd gen and it is different. 4x4 wiring for the 3rd gen attached.

There seems to be very little slack in any of the wiring harnesses on this truck. Save every penny I guess Toyota :)

Yup. Oddly enough the other connector on the 4x4 ecu has about 2" more length and if routed slightly differently has some slack.

Heads up, I posted an edit to my previous reply and uploaded a file you will find useful.
