There is a trick to do it solo as I’ve done a few times. Remove the bottom plate, install the box first then the compressor and bottom plate after it is already mounted.

Were you able to use the ARB switch that came with the kit? Their switch is to big for the blank on my lower left dash panel. Not happy about taking a Drexel to that panel. But yours looks finished.

@Jeff@ExE do I really need 6 gauge wire for the extension? I bought 10 g just because on y'all's website the pic y'all have is of 10 gauge wire. I just don't want to burn my truck to the ground!!

No you do not. The 10 gauge is just fine as long as you aren’t running both power wires into a single 10 guage. Same number of wires at the same guage is perfect.

I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
I really like my compressor mount and Viair 450 set up from EE. It stays as clean as my engine bay and always works great. I ran 10 gauge to mine. The customer service was amazing too. Thank you Jeff@ExE

Got my ARB twin installed in a EE mount. Overall the bedside enclosure fit well.(my suggestion for EE would be to revise the template incorporating the 6 factory bolts on it too for better alignment). It was tricky getting it up into place with my CBI high clearance bumper... had to finagle it into place. I did not like the “extension spacers” that we’re provided in the kit. It made the entire cubby door stick out, and visible gaps around the edges for water to get in. I ended up grinding the inside edges on the door, and put weather stripping around the perimeter. Installed looks just like factory :D

Automotive electrical is not my forte. Can someone please elaborate how to wire the switch into the ARB Twin? I'll be using the one that came with it. I don't have a front locker and never will and don't need it to be lit up. I'll just be mounting it someplace close to the compressor. Thanks

just got the compressor today, waiting on mount. I'm gonna have the ch4x4 switch up front but if you don't want to do that, not much changes. the compressor came with a map of the wiring so lay out your wires on the kitchen table (where there's air conditioning) and pretend to plug in the battery, ignition, dash, wires and you can even have your compressor on the table too if it helps. once you have a good idea of what the paper diagram looks like in real life, it's easier to see where you'll make changes. If you want the switch next to the compressor in the bed instead of in the cab, unwrap the bundle and take the wires attached to the provided switch you just hooked up and put some tape on 'em to identify them as the switch wires. Go outside, start under the hood, hook it all up with your extensions in place, and put your generic toggle switch wherever you want. I'm hoping this goes as easy for me as I'm making it sound haha biggest enemy is this heat!

I was going to order a ch4x4 switch but ARB recommends a 16 amp so I'm gonna use the one they provided. I don't want to cut a hole anywhere to make it fit so I just zip tied it to the compressor. It'll stay until it falls off. I got it all working now. Now I just need to drive around looking for pretty ladies with flat tires to rescue :D

Really the spacers are there to allow air couplers to clear the door when closed. In the original installation we found the coupler (not arb) wouldn’t allow the door to close fully. Hence the spacers came about. Our current plans are to design a locking door that bolts in to the factory location that will have the holes pre located and all but eliminate having to use a template.

And while your at making changes you could add mounting bolts for the outside that take a special wrench to get off like in bathroom stall. Or something along that line. Anything to make it harder to break in.
Im going to find some of those screws with the fancy heads and put them on mine. I did get metal doors.

Actually the design covers this. The locking door will cover the mounting bolts when closed and locked.
