Actually, it was a real question - not being smart ass. You must have taken it the wrong way by me asking the obvious.

But since you want to be a smart ass - I guess I have another question for you. Do you even wheel your truck?

Sounds like you should be in the my vagina hurts forum because you are worried about the powder coat on a bumper that is used for jacking, winching and sliding. [IMG] The ARB bumper was meant for our truck with the stock tire size. When you change stuff (go with bigger rims/tires) you have to make it work.

Pretty much took it as it read ,"Afraid to spend 30 minutes to do a simple cut on both sides? You'd rather go spend another $1K and get a new bumper?"!

Anyway most everybody here is great BUT i GUESS SOME PEAPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN SOUND COOL ON THE COMPUTER.

I would rather have a bumper with a reciever hitch mount for my winch to move it front or rear. I bought the truck set up that way and dont really have time to be fabbin on it right now because I need to be in the woods !!! And i think I might spend a little more time in the woods winching and jacking than you think, I guide big game hunters for a living from Sonora to Northern Colorado and spend about 250 days in the field. I bought the truck with the 285 tires on it and I am changing to 255 80 17's cause they are more for using instead of looking good and it will help with my 4.88 gearing it has . And after I talked with ARB yesterday about the issue of the rubbing they actually said they would recomend the 255 tire size instead of stock size !! So thanks for the education, anyway you can put me in the "my vagina hurts forum". because I am pretty sure I can back my side up, Thanks to everyone else that likes to help you guys are great !!!

 you can sell and buy a new one.....buy a new one.....cut the arb...or live with it. thats about all the choices there are. I would just get a cut off wheel and go to town and call it done.

Cut for modded flares and 35s.

With the 285s and stock flares I barely rubbed the ARB so I imagine if you just drew an arc from the top of the arb and made a circular cut you could make it look real nice. Or maybe just made more of an angle and took a straight cut from the top and back an inch or two from the bottom you would clear.

It would take you less time to cut prep and paint your ARB than it would to buy/install a new bumper.

Fabbing up a front hitch might be a different story but even then you'd have to go custom and that could be a while.

I'm not trying to be a cool internet tough guy, I just don't think what you're saying makes sense.
