hey, I'm having slight problems with my arb compressor. I have everything wired the way it should be following the ARB wiring diagram. I have a 40amp relay and a 40amp fuse protecting the battery. I have the compressor wired so I have an in cab switch. I will try to draw out my diagram and get it posted. The compressor works just fine if its working, but once the pressure switch reaches the psi limit and cuts off, the compressor shuts off like it is suppose to. about 5 seconds later, the 40amp fuse blows... not sure whats causing this.

wiring as of right now, the 40amp fuse is the one that continues to blow after the pressure switch turns off the compressor.

That circuit does not look right. The switch should go to ground, not to power.

Are the black and black/white wire both going to the neg bat terminal?

Just wire the harness as listed in the arb instructions. If everything is exact email arb, they have awesome tech support.

I did not have an arb wiring harness, nor lockers so I did not need all the extra on a arb harness, so i followed and made my own off of their specs. No they are not grounded to the battery terminal but they are grounded to where the battery is grounded to on the truck's inner fender

The switch supplies 12v to the pressure switch, which then if below the set PSI completes the circuit at the relay to turn the compessor on and off when the set pressure is reached....:notsure:

The power comes from the relay. The manual switch, and pressure switch simply interrupt the path to ground.

What relay are you using? I don't think its wired up correctly as well. When I installed an ARB air locker, I did not use the ARB compressor, I set up my own compressor and control circuitry. A relay is an electrical switch, where a low-amp circuit (primary) controls a high-amp circuit (secondary). The manual switch and pressure switch are hooked up the the primary. The compressor is hooked up to the secondary. This is my diagram of my setup. Note the relay wiring:

    Hope this helps.

I am trying to see where the ground is on the pressure switch / in cab switch that goes to ground. I see where it goes to ignition power which is 12v when the key is on
