    In case you drive through water higher than your differential so you don't suck water into it. It would mix with your gear fluid.

    It's a good mod to do even if you don't offroad or launch boats, my old block would flood terribly during the summer months. The water would easily reach waist deep and bob cars.

    Installed mine. All breathers run to the manifold. Rear axle and gas tank in port one, transfer in port two, transmission and power steering in port 3, and front axle and cad motor in port 4. Then one 1/2 hose goes from manifold around to a bulkhead fitting in the airbox. If it gets 2 inches deep in airbox, I got problems anyways. It would have to be over head deep to get in snorkel...but you never know!!!
