Where did I say this? "angle of pull equal to the steering angle" as justification"

Pulling force should always be perpendicluar to the pin to ensure you don't side load the pin. The only way to guarantee that is to attach the strap to the pin and let the shackle rotate on the recovery point.

Doesn't matter what the orientation of the ARB recovery point is. Very much apples to apples.

The only verbiage I see quoted that has these words is directly from the ARB website.

I literally posted the instruction card from ARB. Not sure why we're continuing to beat this to death. Do you what you feel is safe.

I thought we were discussing loading a recovery point. Not personal statements.

Just in case anyone is wondering, while installing an Elka suspension setup with 2" front lift it became apparent that the ARB recovery point is not compatible with my suspension. The remote reservoir bracket is also a swaybar relocation shim and use the same space as the very back upper part of the ARB recovery point. It's just a weird coincidence I guess. Something to be aware of folks.

I was just trying to figure out why you mentioned steering angle when I'd never mentioned it as my justification.

I've spent the better part of a day installing this recovery point. Do you have any tips for the "nut on a stick"? It's the last bolt I have to install and then I'm all done. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
