Hello, Does anyone have any tips on the least invasive way to splice into the factory DRL socket wiring. I tried to make my own plug and play harness which didn't work, it just blew the fuse when I tried the signal.

I'm back to square one and really don't want to use the t tap scotch locks.

    Thanks!

I usually attempt to stuff the wire into the connector on the side where the wire comes in, and then tape it up so that it can't back out.

OP, Can you show what you did? This custom harness you made. Also, your adding more amps to the circuit, not by much but still. What lamps does the ARB have? Are you sure you tapped into the correct wires?

I don't think you understand. I said that I stuffed the wire (with the metal exposed) into the existing connector on the wire side. The metal gets in contact with the pin, and the insulation helps with friction holding it in place. Electrical tape also helps hold it in place. There is no harness involved.

I have not done anything with Tacomas, just other cars. If you're blowing fuses due to too high of a current draw, you need a relay.
