So, not sure why my sway bar was touching the bracket, nor do I know why fcking bolt was scraping the coil*, but fucker is out now... Aaaand in not digging the ride :(
Granted that all I did was a lap in my local Mall's parking lot, but during "evasive maneuvers" truck dips rolls into the corners a lot. Makes me uncomfortable... I adjusted the fronts up to 11 clicks (previously set at 7) so potholes feel somewhat stiffer now. I'll see how it rides and behaves on highway tomorrow.

I tagged both of ya, cause from what I understand you ride without the sway bar

*actually, even though it seems to ride straight, I suspect I might have knocked the alignment out of spec on some recent potholes, and maybe that's what's up

I think both of them, and me included, have stiffer springs to help with the additional sway of no sway bar (and more weight)

when i had 700lb/in coils i thought it did fine without the swaybar. im not sure what i have now on the fox shocks but its definitely too light without a sway bar

I wasn't sure about you
Well, OK. That would make sense, I'm riding on 650 lbs springs, and am still missing some 170 lbs in the front

What's your front suspension? I thought you were either stock or billies, but after rereading your post about adjusting the clickers, I guess you have something different. I think I took my swaybar off when I had billies. In any event, @fatfurious2 is right, I have the bumper, armor, and winch. My kings have the 700# coils. I take this road on the daily. Its 25mph, but I've hit it around 45-50 and I didn't feel uncomfortable. Although, I usually drive fast and maybe I'm just used to it... I try to push the speed as much as I can actually, on this road... when no one is around... in dry conditions. Lol

Thanks, I guess it's definitely something to get used to. I have adjustable Weeping Kings (one of them, lol) with 650 lb springs.

You’ll get a little more body roll without it, but the ride is so much better. Have to remember you put off road suspension on a truck and it’s not a race car. Don’t expect it to corner flat in the canyons.

And if you want to see a true test of the benefits of not having it, hit a speed bump at an angle at 15-20mph or more with and without it. You’ll barely feel the bump without it (at least as the front suspension goes over it)

Wait a minute, something doesn't make sense here.... I was told numerous times "Race car parts, race car noises" o_O

You're right though, it did feel way smoother during my very limited test today. I actually have bunch of speed bumps on my street, and I'm backing over one while turning when I back into my driveway (not at 25 mph though)

Im going to 650s because i feel like the 700 is too stiff for me.

Granted, my front bumper is ~110 and my winch is ~60. Still way more than the stock front bumper which is ~10? Plus skids too

Lucky guess with 170 lbs. Yeah I'm still waiting for my bumper, might be another month before I get it.

Ugh, that was the original plan, but things have changed a little in the meantime.
In January I ordered a CBI T3 bumper without hoops, with shipping ETA April 8.
So yeah, we'll see if 650 lbs springs will be up to the challenge. If not, I'll have to switch to 700lbs
Aaaand have :boink:Turin rebuild at least the fronts (because #weepingkings).

Your truck has only begun to make all of the noises. I’ve been told my s/c sounds like a Ford with power steering issues and bypasses/ other suspension components sound like the truck is falling apart going down a washboard road.

But get your shocks rebuilt since you say they’re leaking, get your new bumper installed, adjust preload to set your ride height, and drive around for a week or so without the swag bar. If you’re still unsure about it then put it back on and maybe get some quick disconnect links for when you’re off road.

And I loved my 650lb springs with my 90ish lb bumper. I think 700lb is too stiff for mid travel unless you have a lot more weight up front

    Race Truck. :)

Watch some in-cab shots of the Mint400 or King of Hammers. Body roll is just part of the game.

Agreed. Until you have full armor and a winch 700# is probably too much.

I have 700# kings full armor bumpers and winch no sway bar.

It feels pretty good except on drop offs it’s kinda harsh. like the rebound is to soft and the CO is topping out.

Would adjusting the nitrogen pressure help with that?

Nitrogen pressure will affect both compression and rebound. You’ll want to change valving or block off some free bleeds
