If it's still steel on aluminum, I'm not getting one.

You can either get it or not, it's completely your choice.

I have a 2011, and I've already noticed what people are talking about, with the RPM hang, extremely picky clutch bucking, etc.

    I still like it though.

Many members here have been told that Toyota is still looking for a way to fix this issue for good. If they don't know how to fix the issues that owners have already reported, then I doubt they have taken action to prevent the issue from happening on a brand new truck either.

I have a 4cyl tacoma as a company truck and a 6 cylinder as my personal truck. Both are manual transmission with similar miles on them. The 5speed transmission in my work truck shifts perfect, wish I could say the same about my personal rig. Toyota changed the clutch in my personal rig free of charge. The throwout bearing noise is gone (hopefully for good?) but it still shifts like crap. The regional service rep says there is nothing else wrong with it.

I would not buy a new one with a 6 speed.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    Thanks everyone.

I'm going to get a new 4 banger 4x4, 5 speed manual, single cab for sure, and probably
also a new auto 6 cylinder Access cab 4x4.

I really like those 4 banger 4x4 5 speed manual single cabs, just may get 2 of them.

I have a Genesis for dates and things.

    Thanks again,

    Dan
