    Remote Start,
I ordered the ARE CX Revo topper. For my new Toyota Tacome TRD Off Road. Should have installed in 4 weeks. Question is, has anyone had any water leaks around the bed and if so how was the leak corrected. Topper (Dealer) Said the design of the Tacoma bed was prone to leakages because of the plastic trim on top of the bed. Appreciate any input. Thanks

I was looking at the same cap, how much did you pay for it?

It’ll leak, they all do. Get a bed mat, seal as best you can and live with it. Water will get in, if you make it too tight, water can’t get out and bad things happen. Figure out how to manage it. I have a ARE V-series, bed cubby covers, sealed the rails, etc... It is pretty tight and minimal leaks, however, I bring water in when I put wet gear, snow-packed skis and snowboards in there. The shell then traps the moisture and it can’t get out and all the sudden my shell is fogged up, wet, and I have to wait for warm weather, open the windoors and back and dry it out. What I’ve found is managing dust is way more critical than water. With a bed mat, any water that leaks in runs down and under the bed mat. As long as I’ve got a place for that moisture to drain, I’m set.

Also, the tailgate has massive gaps, you’ll need to seal that regardless of how well your shell is sealed.
