    Hey everybody.
The Thread title pretty much covers it, but I got a new leaf spring pack and did a U-bolt flip kit. There doesn't seem to be a lot of up travel (~3 in.) and it bottoms out fairly quickly. Would putting the stock bump stops back work? And if you have any other suggestions, as far as bump stops, that would work better I would like to hear them. TIA

3-3.5" rear gap, frame to bump, is about stock gap. Mind you this is not bump compressed gap, which will vary by manufacturer.
Nevertheless, I posted about this a couple months ago in a thread. I installed 1.5" lift leaf pack and still cut my flipped bumps down. The flip bracket adds another 1/2" to a sometimes overly long piece of rubber. Knowing rubber compression to full stop before the shock compressed length is reached is the key.
This ends up being an estimate based on available spec data and/or by measuring compression using high cross axle ramps where full corner weight is bearing down, but I take my own measurements and tests to determine my risk threshold.

I wouldn't change the bumpstops for a 1" rear lift unless you tow heavy or want a small cushier ride for heavy hits. I like sumo springs though. (Blue)

Yeah, I think I might put the stock ones back. I also think that since the new leaf springs are much more progressive than the stock ones, with only ~3in. of up travel I'm just not getting the full potential out of them.
