Decided to regear to 4.88s with the help of my auto teacher at school. I just want to make sure this is everything i need and these are the correct parts for my 1996 4wd non locker taco. Does everything look good? I was a little confused about the Non-ELD gears, that means non electronic locking differential right?

Yes, Non ELD means non e-locking diff.
    Gears are correct.

Get the master install kit. Best to replace the bearings while your in there.

That gasket is not for the Tacoma diff. Use ultra-grey permatex RTV.

Don't forget the front diff gears and master install kit.

I would get the install kit but dont have the money for it. Is that ultra-grey stuff like a paste kind of gasket? Oh and I'm not doing the front yet either, so no 4wd for a little bit :(

Yes. Plenty of people, myself included, use RTV on front and rear diffs with no issue.

Cool thanks! That install kit says it comes with a gasket, but its not in the picture. So im not sure if i need to get some RTV or not, guess ill wait for it to arrive and see. I just ordered everything :)

Edit: Also for the gear oil, just use the factory recommended 75w-90?

Even if it does come with a paper gasket, throw it out.
They aren't worth a shit and will leak eventually.

    75-90 is fine.
