I picked up this used ARE tonneau cover for a steal. I think it may be an older LSII or maybe an original LS series?

Anyway, it looks great, and I love the secure storage. But it looks like I'm either missing something or it's installed wrong. There's a big gap between the bottom of the hinge at the front of the cover and the top of the bed, right next to the cab, about 1 1/2" it looks like. Do I need to change something with the install? Or just get some super thick rubber to form a weather seal between the bed and the cover?

I know I need to get new weather striping for the sides which isn't a big deal. Just not sure how to go about sealing up the front. Any ideas? Hopefully the pics show enough to be helpful.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I have an ARE tonneau that I pulled off of my Tacoma today. Looks like you are missing a thick hard rubber piece that is attached to the truck bed. It makes the area next to the cab the same height as the side rails.
    I have a 2006 dbcab 4x4 sr5.

Hmmm... I was afraid of that. Pretty sure that piece was never on my truck. It was slightly used when I bought it, only a bit over 10,000 miles.

Any idea what that piece is called and how much it costs?
