Is this the ARE Overland? I'm seriously thinking about ordering one. Can you give us a solid review, price paid, and options available/chosen?

    Thanks.

Yes it is and with my military discount it was $1668
It would of been cheaper but I added pet screens, front window slider and fold out. Also had rail system added so would be covered under factory warranty for future rack and light bar.
It sits perfect right on the bed and does not hang over side.
Came with a heavy duty lock and rear door opens straight up so head doesn't hit.
Back door also has lip that fits nicely over tailgate.
Clamps that came with it attached right to factory rail system and inside of cap is carpeted.
I will send more pics after rain stops. I didn't go with the Leer because I don't like how they hang over bed. Also dealer just came back from ARE show and showed me where they have been leaking in front top of bed where plastic pieces come together on bed, he made a rubber seal and put in gaps and put tape down before install. Also has a nice smoke led third brake light.
I could of got just the all blue one for around $1200 but I like how the undercoating strip breaks up the blue.

I've been sitting on this for a few days... You're the first person I've seen have one. I think you've sold me on it. Any tips/recommendations/complaints before I move forward. Any options you wish you would have gotten? Where'd you recieve your military discount, straight from ARE or local. I'm also military.

Local dealer and I will put up more pics tomorrow and I did a bunch of research. I really didn't know much about ARE so I just drove 85 miles to ARE dealer after Leer dealer not returning my 2 calls.
I think it's a good quality product and will last. It also came with a bottle of touch up paint.

Alright, keep us updated. I like the look of the two tone a lot. What else is different with the "overland model" that sets it apart from like the z series

Sorry I'm not going to BS you lol! I really don't know what sets it apart I went there with the intention of buying their standard top. Owner had the all undercoated one on his truck and I wasn't sure about that on the blue, but when he showed me the Overland one I said that will look good with black rims and black nerd bars!

Fold down front window is a must. I would also recommend the carpeted headliner. ARE always has coupons on their web site. Check before going to the dealer to save a few $$$$.

I was just gonna get the sliding rear since that's what I have on the truck. What does the fold down do for me?

I have big dogs and think the sliding sides will be best so they can have fresh air on long rides.

The Overland looks nice...I'm in the market for a cap. My truck is white...can't decide if that black stripe would look good on my truck or not.

Allows you to clean the windows between the truck and the cap.

Get both- they make the windoors in a sliding version.

Yes, the drop down front window is nice as it allows you to clean the glass on the truck and shell without taking the shell off; otherwise it ends up filthy like mine which has been on since 2006. You can spray it down but it's too close to really push a sponge or anything through to clean it well.
