    I am not sure but there are many retired and active military here and collectively we probably have covered the globe. Most likely we have seen how other non english speaking countrys handle english speaking only folks. For myself Germany, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Portugal, Panama, Spain, Italy, Greece, South West Asia ( Baharain, Iraq, Jordan etc) if you do not speak the language they do not care! You mime, point or you hope someone near buy speaks english and their language. Though I will say in most of those countrys it is mandatory English is taught in schools from kindergarten up.

    Where I live in NC we have lots of immigrants too, more illegal than legal though, most work in the tobacco fields. Or if you decide to go to the DMV you'll see'em all there getting driver's licenses somehow

    I think the official language for America should be one of the American Indian languages, any of them except Cherokee, I can't stand Cherokee Indians!
