I reckon that this did not fit. No one expected a swan dive. I jump out of perfectly good airplanes.
With a C-119. a poor exit leads to thumping alon[IMG]g the tail boom. Not good.[IMG]

That is good form, if I do say so myself.

What can I say, I`m a risk taker. I did check the equipment.
This is on the South Island of NZ near Queenstown, Skipper`s Bridge.
While I was in the area, I ran a shallow, rocky stream in a jet boat. I did not hit anything, but power is to use. I scared the heck out of my brother. And he crashed airplanes for a living for ten years. AKA Crop Duster.
There is a shallow rocky stream under the bridge. It would not break a couple of hundred foot fall.
I just happened to run into these. There are more plus some cool sky diving and SCUBA diving pics. But I am not going to search.
tcBob gets the credit for the visuals. The superimposed Colts are really neat.

I have lots of nice weapons. I ret. in 1984 and had lots of time to make money in between hunting, fishing and beer drinking.
I was transfered to the disability list in 1989. The old combat wounds are inexorabale. It is like stopping a glacier. You can only fool the Doc`s for so long. They have your med records.
How did the first jump attached to nothing more than a large rubber band feel?
I get a butter fly feeling about two inches below my belly button. But the decision has been made.
