No kidding. Out at Coal Creek, I nosed down into a rut (didn't see it - truck in front me obscured my view) so hard it stopped the truck and the horn honked. To be clear: I didn't hit the horn. The shock of the truck getting stopped was enough that the horn button flew forward inside the steering wheel as though it had been pressed and honked. It was like the taco had a clown nose.

The skid still looks new. That thing is freakin' awesome.

So just to update on the Shackle Flips.... I started out with what I thought was the best design, cut all the pieces, welded up two sets and they work great. Problem with that setup is it was going to be pretty pricey due to all that parts it required. So I decided to try and go back and revise the old design to work better, be stronger, and accept many different leaf packs. Sat at the drawing board and came up with a good design, cut all the pieces, laid them out to weld and then discovered I had overlooked a small detail and there was no way to make them work the way I wanted. So now I'm back to looking at the more expensive design again which may end up being the only way to produce these to fit multiple leaf applications......

Anyways just wanted you guys to know what's up with those and know that I am still working on them, it's just been a very aggravating process trying to find what works best and is affordable.

I <3 shackle flips...we may be discussing a one-off situation if the "mass produced" version isn't ready soon.

Can't quite remember off the top of my head but think it was gonna be around the $350ish mark...

It really was an ideal setup though as it would allow the use of different length shackles to add additional lift if desired and should even work for the 6" guys to get rid of the lift block as well...

That price is NOT a problem at all.

    Edit:

    I am not alone:

Of course...look at the trucks that are saying this :p

That's not bad at all, will it be using a stock shackle or a whole new setup?!

Everything would be new, the mount, and the shackle. It would be pure BEEF compared to stock. :D

In any case I'm back to working with that design anyways... Hopefully with one more refinement it will be ready, just have to make some changes to the drawings and get another set cut to test.

Right on, will have a grease fitting (like the defined shackles) on it?!

Yes it would have a grease fitting on the frame side, and would have the option of including new spring bushings and bolt which would make the spring side greaseable as well.
