if you know anybody with body work hammers, or if you can buy some, you should be able to knock that out by yourself for under $50. heat up the paint with a heat gun so it doesnt crack or chip and then use the body hammer to knock it out and just touch up paint it.

    just an idea

That sucks! I had a tractor-trailer sideswipe my fender about 4 years ago.

The damage in the attached photo cost me $550 to have it knocked out, filled and painted. That was the cheapest estimate. 3 other shops wanted anywhere from 800-1000 and insisted on replacing the fender rather than repairing.

    Hope yours turns out better.

Sorry to see this not a good way to wake up and start the day. I don't want to poop on your parade but that's going to cost a tad more than $200 to fix... One question. Why in the hell is your deductible so high? My wife manages one of the major Auto insurers and usually people that have high deductibles do so because they can't afford the monthly premiums??

You don't really care, do you.
This happened to me last month, and I couldn't believe that the estimate was $4260! I'm sure just fixing your one fender will be far less than your deductible would cost, though. Labor is going to be 90% of your expense so if you can minimize that, you should be golden.

Mine needs a ton of little work because the bed pushed up and touched the back of the cab, and the bumper touched the two rear fenders. Also my hitch and tailgate were damaged, slightly bending the frame where the hitch mounts to it. Easily fixable, but damn expensive. Thankfully the other guy had decent insurance (or at least the car he was borrowing did, while he went to jail on 2 old warrants LOL)

5100's all the way around. Front set at .85. Camburg Spindles. Camburg Uniball 1.25 UCA's. Total Chaos LCA skid plates. Custom Deaver 10 pack rear leaf spring. BFG AT KO's 285/70/17, Weathertech floor liners, Wet Okoles. Midland CB/PA, Firestick.
The fender is the cheap part. Its the fender flare that is $$$. I was quoted $287.57 for one front fender flare (not painted and not including molding and clips) Capistrano Toyota quoted on 3-17-11. You can find replacement fender for around $100.00...with a little searching.

    http://www.carparts.com/details/Toy...toyotatacoma20052010replacementt220156q618349

Fiberglass is going to run $400.00 +/- for both sides plus some modifications.

    Good luck!
