My family has never celebrated christmas. I dont give a shit if someone says merry christmas to me, hell we just had someone give us some sort of christmas decoration thing. The only thing that bugs me is when people start hammering me as to why we dont celebrate it and why we should celebrate it.

ya know what? the world is double standard. we Christian's have to watch what we say but the 'others' can voice their opinions all they want.

for example, that miss california chick who stood up for her CHRISTIAN beliefs and said she didnt believe in gay marriage is still catching hell for it. but when a gay man or lesbo woman stands up and yells her beliefs we cant say anything in fear of discrimination.

same goes for your situation, if you believe in Christmas, you gotta whisper and shit. but if i believe in anything else i can voice it all i want. fuck em, if anyone tells me to not be loud about how i feel or my beliefs, i sweart to God ill go ape shit right there on the spot

I tell everyone that comes into my store Merry Christmas. If that bothers them, that's too bad. I don't believe in "happy holidays" or any of that crap. It's Merry Christmas. Luckily I work for people that don't care either. They say it too. We don't worry about being P.C. I've never worried about being p.c. It's getting to be ridiculous.

Yea, but I've had customers say it to me before I could get it out of my mouth. For a lot of companies, even if the customer says it to them first, they still can't say it. And if they do, they could get fired. It's absolutely retarded. It's jsut like meteorman said, if anyone else wanted to voice their opinion about anything, no one would care. But if somethin has to do with Christ then everyone has a problem with it. I'm not offended by someone saying happy chanakuh (however the frig you spell it), or happy Kwanza or whatever else they want to say, but I'm going to say Merry Christmas. If my company doesn't want me to say Merry Christmas, they'll either get over it or fire me. I've never been politically correct, and I probably never will be. If someone's offended, they'll think about it for a while and get over it.

I agree. I completely understand the game of business, as I just graduated with a degree in business. I was just saying that personally, I dont' care if they'd want me to say it or not.

People have just gotten to touchy now-a-days. You can't sneeze without someone being offended. That's basically when I said screw it and I don't even try to be P.C. It's pointless and impossible to be as p.c. as they would like for ya to be.

I actually tried that at Wal Mart either last year or the year before. They just looked at me like I was stupid and asked how i was offended by "holidays." And I basically told em what you just said. They just kind of laughed and said Merry Christmas.:D
