    It's still called the Iphone 4g. But not because of the network. It's called the iphone 4g cause its the iphone 4th gen.

    It was based on the fact that 98% of their customers use less that 2gb per billing cycle. So it makes the data plans cheaper for most of their customers. If you go over, an extra gb is $10 more instead of the expensive per mb charge. If anything, it will probably boost their customer base as it makes the data plans more affordable for more people. They also will send out a text message when you've reached 65% of your plan's capacity.


    Also, if anyone is interested in buying an iPad 3G, AT&T said that even though the release is delayed, they'll let you order it on June 7th (Monday) and lock in the 5 gb plan (what they call unlimited).

    If that is so why are they saying it is because of their networks being overloaded?

    And if that is so why couldn't they leave the unlimited data plan untouched, while adding cheaper plans as well?
