At what rpm do you shift on 2.7L I4 4X4

I have been getting some interesting input from others who have similar truck as mine about this and was curious to find out more about what you guys do. If you have a 2nd gen. 2.7L I4, at what rpm do you shift gears?

 

I have the same truck and under normal driving I shift at about 3000 rpm. When gas was 4 bucks I was shifting at about 2500 give or take a few hundred RPM.

 

well I have a 1st gen and a 3.4L v6, but i'm sure people will benefit from the input. I shift at 3000-3300 normal driving.

 

Just cruisin', prolly 2200-2300, def. under 2500
I don't spin it up unless it's necessary.

 

I have the same truck and I shift at a little over 2k. Probably 2200-2300... Under normal driving that is. Obviously if I want to go faster, these RPM's would not be optimal for that.

 

if i shift under 2500rpm i have to ride the clutch out a bit. hmm

 

Under normal conditions, 2400-2700.




EDIT: I should have stated that this is with my PreRunner, although the difference between the I4 5spd manual 4x4 and I4 5spd manual PreRunner is minimal. Just a few extra pounds on the 4x4 due to the drivetrain. Hopefully this can give you some more information to work with.
