    * WINDS... NORTHEAST 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH... STRONGEST BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS.
    * TIMING... WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS EVENING THEN REMAIN VERY STRONG AND GUSTY THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... EXCEPT FOR A PERIOD OF WEAKER WINDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY THURSDAY EVENING.

    ... VERY STRONG WIND EVENT WITH DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY IN PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH FRIDAY...
    .A COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE DOWN THE CALIFORNIA NEVADA STATE LINE TONIGHT. AT THE SAME TIME STRONG SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE GREAT BASIN. THESE TWO SYSTEMS WILL ALIGN IN A WAY FAVORABLE FOR A VERY STRONG OFFSHORE WIND EVENT STARTING THIS EVENING AND LASTING INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON. STRONG AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS OF... VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES... AS WELL AS THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY COASTAL AREAS. THE SANTA BARBARA COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT SOUTH COAST WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE VERY STRONG GUSTY WINDS THIS EVENING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. RESIDENTS IN THE WARNING AREA ARE ADVISED TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS NOW BEFORE THE WINDS REACH THEIR PEAK. CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND SECURE ALL OUTDOOR OBJECTS SUCH AS LAWN FURNITURE.

    wont effect me :) the last big winds like few years back didnt do much damage besides knock some trees down on Euclid Ave. and blew both sides of my fences down.

    ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
    That should make my drive home on the 405 just that much better....
